Who we are
Running a small or mid-size business still means juggling spreadsheets, inboxes, shared drives, and one-off tools. Every new person adds a pile: a hire to run, references to chase, a contract to send, and a file to keep current.
Okulo is the workspace for that ops layer. It is built for growing teams that want to operate cleanly without standing up a full back office for every new hire or contractor.
What we're building
Simple tools and AI that make the work of running a business easier. The tools share the same records. Okulo Assistant works across them, so you can ask for what you need instead of clicking through five apps.
- HireOn when you're hiring. Off when you're not.
- VerifyReferences, without the phone tag.
- SignContracts out, signatures back.
- PeopleOne file for everyone who works with you.
- CubeAsk out loud. It gets it done in Okulo.
Hiring is one part of the picture, not the whole product. Each tool works on its own. Extra modules stay optional and paid until you turn them on.
Why Okulo
Businesses are still run by people. Too much of the day goes to moving files, chasing signatures, and keeping records straight.
Software should carry more of that load. Our goal is a calm set of tools where your team spends less time on process and more time on the work that grows the business.
Our story
Okulo was founded by Simon Peter Damian, a software engineer and entrepreneur with more than a decade of experience building products.
Before Okulo, he built FlashApply, a job-search platform used by more than 1,500 job seekers and responsible for facilitating hundreds of thousands of applications.
That work made a broader gap clear. Finding people is only one slice of running a team. The hard part is often what comes after: contracts, checks, onboarding, and keeping the day-to-day records honest.
Okulo was created for that ops layer. We build it with growing teams across Canada and the U.S., and keep shaping it from how they actually work.
Our mission
Make the operational side of running a business simpler, faster, and easier to trust.
Every growing team should get software that helps them operate cleanly, treat people well, and scale without adding a pile of admin for every new person or process.
Built in Canada
Okulo is developed by Floating Binary Software Systems Inc., a Canadian software company in Waterloo, Ontario. Customer data can stay in Canada or the U.S., depending on where you operate.
